is expensive, and some advertising is cheap, but the best kind of advertising is FREE! Google Base is a service from Google that allows you to upload pictures, add descriptions, and point your items or information tidbits directly to your website or shopping cart.

Go to google.com/base . If you have less than 10 items to add to Google Base, you'll click 'One at a time' off to the right and get started filling out the form. Choose an existing item type from the drop down, or create your own. There are many types to choose from including events, housing, products, recipes, hotels, jobs, etc.

You will then be taken to a form that asks for Title, Details (like price, price type, quantity and attribute), and Description. The description field allows links and HTML.

You can then upload a photo, or link directly to a photo on the web. Also edit contact, payment and location details, if applicable. Set the amount of days to expire (max. 30) and click Preview or Publish.

If you'll be displaying more than 10 items, you'll find it much easier and less time-consuming to utilize this handy upload feature. Simply enter your items into a tab-delimited spreadsheet using Google's required and recommended headers for each of your items and upload.
